The Sports Academy has recently re-modelled its curriculum to ensure we are providing our learners with the qualifications, skills and experiences that meets the needs of the Sport and Active Leisure Industry. Learners are now challenged to work towards higher level qualifications that can open the doors to Work-Placement and employment. The differentiated curriculum ensures that learners individual needs are met while providing them with quality teaching and learning.

Level 1 Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure

To introduce learners of varying abilities to the sport and active leisure sector.

Level 2 Certificate in Exercise and Fitness

This qualification is aimed at the learner who wants to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a fitness instructor in the context of gym-based exercise.

Level 2 Award in the Principles for Coaching Sport

The Level 2 Award in Principles for Coaching Sport provides learners with the knowledge needed to develop their confidence and start them on the road to engaging in coaching sport.
